I believe it wouldn't be difficult for you to rebase your series
on top of staging with an incremental patch for QMP, right?
Rebasing to a moving target is insane. The qmp patches are committed
already though, so this isn't a issue ;)
Right now I have some wip patches against current master:

Not sure whenever I base this on the default series or the other way
around. Either way it will be a bit messy.
