Here is the command i'm running: qemu-system-arm -M versatilepb -cpu arm11mpcore -m 256 -hda debian6-17-02-2012.img -kernel zImage_3.1.9 -append "root=/dev/sda2" The version of qemu was compiled from source today from the latest git so the above patch was already in place.
