If I go here: http://gis.stackexchange.com/tags I see under the QGIS tag:
34 asked this week, 152 this month There are only 560 questions tagged with "qgis", so as a proportion that's quite a lot. On that entire page QGIS has easily got the highest "asked this week" and "this month" numbers with the "arcgis" tag being the second (17 and 78 respectively) though highest total questions of all time at 1235 Jonathan From: Paulo van Breugel <p.vanbreu...@gmail.com> To: Nathan Woodrow <madman...@gmail.com> Cc: qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org, Nick Hopton <nhop...@gmail.com> Date: 02/05/2012 13:39 Subject: Re: [Qgis-user] Re: Closure of forum, one month on. Sent by: qgis-user-boun...@lists.osgeo.org Nice, is this including all answers? If so, would it be possible to see how many new questions are posted every day? In any case, with the increasing trend in the last couple of month, we need to wait for the data for April (and later) to see if there is any change. I would expect that part of what people post on the forum does not end up on the Stack Exchange as the SE follows a more rigid format (Q&A), while on the forum could be used for e.g. a less structured exchange of ideas. These exchanges of ideas or whatever you call it might end up somewhere else (not sure where). (I personally think it is a good thing Q&A are separated from discussions) Paulo On Wed, May 2, 2012 at 1:47 PM, Nathan Woodrow <madman...@gmail.com> wrote: On Wed, May 2, 2012 at 9:31 PM, Nick Hopton <nhop...@gmail.com> wrote: Is it possible to determine the number of new questions tagged 'QGIS' asked on Stack Exchange GIS in March and the same for April? Nick. The last query that I just posted should be able to do it once the data is updated to include April. Currently it only includes up till March. The site is updated monthly so it should be there soon. - Nathan _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user This transmission is intended for the named addressee(s) only and may contain sensitive or protectively marked material up to RESTRICTED and should be handled accordingly.
