Hi,

2012/11/26 Tomáš Vrána <tomas.vr...@cemotel.cz <mailto:tomas.vr...@cemotel.cz>>

    Hi,
using Qgis on openSuse 12.2 and gnome 3, it crashes anytime it
tries to open any file dialog (open/save). It seems to be version
independent 1.8 as well as 1.9 alpha. I seem to recall there was
similar problem about a year ago, but I can't quite remember or
find the solution. Needles to say that it is rather annoying.
perhaps somoene can help me ?

I had a similar issue some time ago after I have compiled QGIS with FileGDB support, it is due to different libxml version between FileGDB and the one on my machine.
Have you compiled FileGDB support ?

Could you provide any backtrace [1] about crash ?
Here is the trace, taken form 1.9.0

(gdb)

which I did compile localy. I am not exactly sure aboput FileGDB, that seems to be a feature of GDAL rather that Qgis ?

Regards Tom
