Hi Patrick I understand your point on VMs. What I was trying to say was that, since a VM consumes a certain amount of RAM/CPU for the OS, and since I already have a windows VM in my box, there's no point in adding a second VM for QGIS - I can install it in my windows' VM (and get Oracle support out of the box). I just hate the idea. Seriously.
