Hi Andrea, I updated QGIS in the meantime from 3.34.6 to 3.34.7-2, the problem occurred in both versions.
And yes, there was at least one, probably two, Windows updates during the time I had this problem. I used the Windows standalone .msi installer, and after the installation was complete I removed 3.34.6. I tried if the problem persists when I use a bare bone minimal profile, with no effect on the issue. So maybe its possible that the problem is caused by some change in the windows .zip-handling? Honestly, I have no idea where to investigate....
