But I already encountered some issues because of dynamic class loading. I am not an expert in Java Security nor Tomcat Security Manager, but I think that depends how you define "something special in a webapp", and I think using the class loader is something special yet, which is likely to fail in most production environments, where the security level is usually higher. As far as I know, the Debian package just sets the security level quite high by default.
