I have roughly timed the boot up of Q60 Linux, which boots up from SMSQ/E on
the hard disk, with a slightly modified boot program.

It takes about 47 seconds to get to the Linux login prompt, this includes
mounting a 5Gb partition, loading the NE2000 network module, SCSI-IDE
emulation and detecting the CDRW drive.

So I gueess that is not too bad, as some i386 Linux implementations take the
same amount of time, or sometimes longer to get to the Linux login prompt.
But I would not think that is a very good comparison.
