The thing is that at its present condition, apart from running simple apps
and running older software, extremely capable machines as your Qx0s are
held back by SMS... I remind you here how many problems Claus has, trying
to write multimedia apps for the Qx0 under SMS.
Applications that would be not just possible but where Qx0s could excel are
impossible to create without either scrapping the entire OS and writing a
ROM of your own (as you already done for testing) or by using Linux (and
all the load this brings).

For example, if SMS permitted it, a shrunk version of the Qx0 (or even the
GoldFire by Nasta) - I know that designers of your caliber; you or Nasta I
mean. could easily, money and time permitting, make Qx0s or GF the size of
a Palm Pilot- would be easily usable for Automotive applications or for MP3
players or PDAs... however SMS does restrict you heavily. And I know what
you are going to say about the ability to run Linux but it's a fact (at
least I remember you saying it) that the Qx0's design was specifically done
to replace the QL and not as a general all-purpose computer... (although it
can be used as such)
In that aspect, things that you may have done on it are not implemented...
(eg USB or Network) and the fact of the matter is that when used for their
intended purpose (SMS or QDOS) Qx0s are under-utilized....

The way I see it is that if SMS wasn't so tied to older hardware both you
and Nasta could have made millions in the embedded or automation market
using software that's easy to write and reusable. Instead ... well you know
what's instead :-(
