Easy to port? How can you say that without having any idea how the
new OS would look like? We could start by porting existing Linux
drivers to QDOS.. any takers?

There is already at least a dozen lightweight OSes available for free
and Linux isn't bad either, you would need a pretty strong motivation
to reinvent the wheel.
