All this talk of writing your own OS - I think it's a dream many of us have had - until we looked at the realities... However, I have a very clear idea of my perfect OS... Unfortunately, nobody else shares that vision, so it's not going to get written ;) A QDOS/RISCOS cross would be pretty close though. The RISC OS user interface, with the QL's SBasic, and BBC BASIC's ability to do inline assembly in a basic program. I would buy that :o) Dave
