it will very likely occur if you have a kernel not suitable for the processor also, I have just experienced this when switching from 060LC to full 060. Are you really sure you have the right kernel and right lxx settings? The 060LC kernel by Thierry should be OK. The non LC version by Thierry brought me lots of problems instead. But IIRC you have the 060LC. What is exactly the kernel you're using? Because of the switch I mentioned I also installed the old Q40 Linux on a Q60 and it worked (except the kernel of course).
