I have no experience of uQLx but I do have experience of problems with
pointer environment.

You do not say what version of ptr_gen, wman etc that you use, or what
QL ROM version. I would guess it is old or very new, because those
tend to cause most problems. If you are trying to use version 2.00 or
later here's some suggestions which may help:

v1.xx - most versions will work on most platforms, especially the
later ones.
v2.00 - unknown - anyone know anything about this version?
v2.01 - seems to work on most systems - my favoured version across
platforms.
v2.02 - broken, avoid using this. All sorts of problems.
v2.03 - ROM version dependent - works best with Minerva (background
screen redraw etc), will work with JS and possibly MG ROM versions.
Does NOT work with version AH or JM or any other version before JS.
Not sure if pofficially released or not, I wonder if Marcel or
Wolfgang could let me know if I may put it on my website?

There are several versions of PE on my website
www.dilwyn.uk6.net/pe/index.html - download a few versions to see if
you can get any version working.

There's also most QL ROM versions on my website
www.dilwyn.uk6.net/qlrom/index.html
(Hmm, just noticed there's two different QL ROM versions pages on my
site, use the above and ignore the older one, will remove it soon now
I've noticed it's still there)
