Yes, Text 87 writes proportional fonts to the screen, so fails if not
in mode 0 (or 4), and some versions fail if the 'line increment' in
memory is not the same as the screen width (e.g. some Aurora screen
modes). I don't know if there is a patch or the more recent versions
cope with this (Roy???)
