My Aurora/MinisQL system has a Superhermes lite and I have been trying
to get a Jet Black systems 102key AT keyboard to work with it, but so
far with no joy.
Tony Firshman's handwriting on the back (he put a sticker on it at a
show some time ago) says 'No MF3' so I guess this is probably
indicative of a problem, but I can't remember what MF3 means.
This keyboard used to work fine with a Di-Ren keyboard interface, but
we didn't get it to work with a Superhermes at the time, though I
can't remember why.
Symptons: keyboard appears to work, but CTRL <key> and ALT <key>
combinations don't work, which renders it pretty useless in a QL
environment.
I have a (two letter expletive deleted) and a MinisQL on the same desk
and recently bought a keyboard and monitor switchbox to combine as
many peripherals as possible between the two to save space. Sadly, the
two black keyboards I've tried so far (both from different
manufacturers) both fail with Superhermes Lite. This little switchbox
is an amazing little device - plug in one keyboard and one monitor and
switch it between two computers for only £19 from Gaia Technologies.
Works with MinisQL and any other QL system with (S)VGA monitor type
outputs, as long as you have a SHL compatible keyboard.
So...any ideas anyone? (or offers to swap the black keyboard for a
black keyboard known to work with the Superhermes Lite?)
