Ian, as far as I know the only way you can obtain a
qubide partition is formatting the hd as soon as the
qdos classic start. Next boot you will not have any
more error during the qubide module startup.
This kind of operation will destroy any partition
already present on the disk (smsqe or Linux).
This is why I use as primary HD a compact flash card.

Back to the Qx0, after some work with the SMSQE
sources, just to familiarise with them and (thanks
Marcel) to recover some lost libraries (win1_uti_lib
and win1_util_menus_lib), I have recompiled all the
smsqe for the q60 succesfully.
Not only, again thanks to Marcel , I have also
included some of smsqe 2e99 changes regarding fast
memory.
The speed increase is obviously remarkable, as an
example now the operation to boot linux (1.8 MB-2.4.18
kernel )with lxx took less than ONE second instead of
10/20 second).
I am quite near also to finish the italian traslation
of the messages and keyboard.
