Does anyone know about the fuel supply situation in England? I
intended to travel down to Byfleet workshop on Sunday morning, but out
of nowhere there seems to be a severe fuel shortage in North Wales -
no diesel at ANY local garages! I work for a garage and even I can't
find out what's going on, whether it's localised or what?

If I can't get diesel on the motorways there's no point trying to get
to Byfleet, obviously!

The closest to an explanation I got was that a large tanker for
Stanlow port had missed the tide conditions and so there was a
shortage of diesel oil and it seems that some fuel companies are
restricting distribution (reduced deliveries) to reduce shortages in
some regions, but this is leading to rumours and panic buying
(certainly seen that where I work today, you'd have thought fuel was
going out of fashion!), causing localised shortages nationwide.

It might well be local to Wales & North West (or areas served by
Stanlow) as I haven't seen anything about it in the papers or on the
news. If anyone has any info, please let me know.
