In the first place because Qlandkartegt is a wonderful piece of software. I have been using it for years, and already used it when "qlandkarte" became "qlandkartegt". But recently I bumped into a serious problem. I am using Linux Fedora (always have) and I am (unlike some other people) a happy user of the Gnome3 desktop and gnome-shell. But when I try "File-->Load map" in QLandkartegt the program hangs and I have to "kill" the program by force. When I start it again, it won't even start again. It seems to be a problem with Gnome3. I have installed LXDE as a lightweight alternative desktop. When I switch to LXDE I can start and run Qlandkartegt again and also load maps without problems. When I then switch back to Gnome3, the problem re-appears. Is this a known problem? I am using Fedora 20 (64bits) and have tried bot qlandkartegt 1.7.5 and the new 1.7.6 help?
