I will have a look at the patch the next days.

I am not convinced that mingw is such a greate idea. My experiences are a few 
years old, but at that time 
mingw was awful slow to compile. And the result was not very well optimized. 
Additionally you had to 
publish quite a bunch of runtime libs makeing the ones that have to go with the 
microsoft compile just a 
few. But if you want Helmut give it a try . Things nmight have changed.
