I use a mixed system all the time.  But the dependencies were not
resolvable, I don't recall exactly, but I think the qmapshack package
depended on a library version that was not yet available, at least the
resolver of aptitude couldn't find a solution.  Such things sometimes
happen in unstable.

Anyway, now it installs fine, thanks.
