Hello to you all
I'm a new QLandKarte (QL) user and I'm learning a lot from it.
I'm looking for someone who can explain me how to convert DEM files (6 .hgt
files I got from "Viewfinder Panoramas" for my country) into a single tiff
file.
I've read about that on QL archives, but all the explanations are for linux
users.
Having a Win 7 Home Premium x64 laptop, and version 1.8.0 of QL, I'm a
little lost.
I use the OSM "Freizeitkarte_PRT" map in QL
So, given my current installation, which tools are there (if any) I could
use and how, explicitly, to accomplish something like what I've found on

In the link above there is a mention to "Windows users: GDAL provides a
shell. Use it".
Can someone make a kind of a wiki for windows on this subject ? Probably I'm
not the only one who could benefit from this.
