Hm, file size gets much bigger, that's right if I expand the table with gdal_translate. Now I use compression like deflate to reduce that effect. If this is becoming a problem for me I will go into Gimp to see if I can do these operations from the command line in order to integrate that in a loop/script. > There is even a GDAL tool to reduce colors.
