That seems like a bug. QMS should not try to unmount a device that it
didn't mount. In my opinion, QMS should not automatically mount
anything either, that should be left up to the user and the OS.

all device on the USB interface by mounting them, testing for known device file
system structure and unmounting them. If the device is blocked because another
application has it's focus in the file system or it was mounted by another user
the unmount will silently fail on the QMS side.
Imho there should be no warning on the desktop manager side either. But that is
debatable.

When I start up qmapshack it tries to unmount my external USB connected
hard drive. A window pops up and I have to say no every time.
