I am attempting to georeference a 4961 x 3508 pixel 100dpi tif image using QlandkarteGT.  The process appears to run normally, but produces an image that is 133 x 6075 pixels.  This appears to be during the gdalwarp process.  The same thing happens if I use Qgis, or use command line.  It happens using Linux Mint 17.3 and 18.x

Here is the QlandkarkeGT output:

gdal_translate -a_srs +proj=tmerc +lat_0=0 +lon_0=173 +k=0.9996 +x_0=1600000 +y_0=10000000 +ellps=GRS80 +units=m +no_defs -gcp 469 1881 1767200.375000 5443069.000000 -gcp 3792 983 1767476.750000 5443148.000000 -gcp 2282 2365 1765643.125000 5369012.000000 Mapimage.tif /tmp/qt_temp.sa4306

--- finished ---

I have tried different images, including jpg with the same result. Previously (months ago) this was no problem.
