Hi Dan,
I don't have that many accounts, but I'll share my thoughts anyhow. If
you put a front qmail-ldap router that only delivers via qmqp to cluster
mailhosts, you can scale it as much as you want. When one cluster host
starts to reach load capacity, just add a new one. If the LDAP server
gets slow, just add a few replica slaves and set up round robin DNS to
them.
