smtp auth

Is is possible to enable both smtp-after-pop and smtp-auth with the
patches at 

http://www.lifewithqmail.org/ldap/patches/

What I'm after is that if the user does smtp-after-pop, then smtp-auth
is not necessary.

Any tips regarding this would be welcome.
