You should be able to apply the whole qmail-ldap patch, find out what
patches are included that you don't like, download those patches, and
back them out with the -R flag to patch.

It will be a pain to sort out what patch can't do automatically, of
course, but not impossible.

If you manage it, probably others would be interested in your work.
