They forgot to attach the file the first 4 times, or attached it incorrectly. Seriously. I have dealt with issues like this many times, and they nearly always end up being either user error, or a weird Outlook Express bug. Watch over their shoulder while they do it. Maybe use recordio on their SMTP sessions to see exactly what they're sending, command by command. Apart from that, if you've got other software running besides qmail, it could be doing something like this. Virus scanners, in particular, can do things like this, and some filters remove certain types of attachments altogether. It's also possible that it's a size limit thing, and he didn't mail *quite* the same file every time. ----ScottG.
