I wasn't just speaking for Maildirs. NFS very often requires synchronized clocks and uid space, Sqwebmail is a good example. Also, if you read qmail code, you'll notice some NFS-related tweaks. > Improper implemented, yes. And improper design also. Portmapper is a good example.
