I beg to differ on this, it all depends on how you configure and use OpenLDAP. For "normal" usage (no TLS and such) OpenLDAP is very stable. Running here for quite some time now and no problems whatsoever, I wish I could say the same of Iplanet. An extensive study (over 2 months of testing) has shown me the benefit and speed over OpenLDAP compared to Iplanet. Franky
