Yo need to translate the old syntax into the LDIF syntax in order for the qmail schema to work. I think a very easy way to do that is using the iPlanet Console. Open from there the DirectoryConsole and click on the configuration tab. In the left frame you'll see the database item. Open it and select schema. Use this grafical interface in order to include the qmail schema in your Directory Server.

I hope this helps. Regards:

That is about it.What more information did you have in mind?Well, I have read the instructions for installing qmail-ldap (by Henning Brauer). According to these notes the first thing I have to do is to edit slap.oc.conf and add the schema. My problem is that iPlanet Directory Server 5.0 (which is the LDAP server that I am working on, not OpenLDAP) only recognize configuration files that are in the LDIF format . So, my question is how can I add the schema to iPlanet Directory Server 5.0 ? Thanx for any help, ChrisGene Parks VIP Direct [EMAIL PROTECTED]
