Yes,  

 Using /etc/tcp.smtp you can set the env variable for inbound,offnetwork 
connections to check MX records

:allow,DENYMAIL="DNSCHECK",SANITYCHECK="TRUE",RETURNMXCHECK="TRUE",SMTP550DISCONNECT="TRUE",BLOCKRELAYPROBE="TRUE"


DENYMAIL is old and not used anymore,  Depending on your version of 
qmail-ldap it may work.

RETURNMXCHECK is the env variable you are looking for.  check out 
QLDAPINSTALL docs for the definition of the others.
