Have you yet explored DNSRBL - i.e. IP-based blocking?

Recently I patched my qmail-ldap installations so y can also use njabl's
open-realy detection mecanism.  That is: each IP which send's email to
one of my servers is chequed if it is an open-relay (in case it is not
yet listed anyway).  So repeated spamming via an open-relay is
prevented.
