I don't think so. One day we have to make this break. Today is the
day. Otherwise we'll never get rid of it. We have decided to
concentrate as much 'breakage' as possible in this release to make
upgrades after that more painless.

Changing the attributes can be done one by one. We've been supporting
the new format for quite some time. You have to run over the deliverMode
attributes anyway to make sure you keep the expected behaviour.

For next release (20031001) we plan for smtp-auth, smtp-rcptcheck and
smtp-sendercheck. That would make life easier for you. Now if you
would tell us about the your other little tweaks, we could have a look
at them too.
