One thing that comes to my mind, is that you can use ~control/virtualdomains to use alias expansion. If you have an e-mail address that should be delivery to some e-mail addresses, I have no idea how to do that only using LDAP (perhaps the group feature, but it is a little obscure in some ways). :-) With the virtualdomain, I can point it to ~alias and take care of it locally. I have a small domain 300 boxes, but I really imagine how to deal with this in a large scale server.
