I agree, but with the -R -H and -l0 options on tcpserver, it shouldn't be
looking up anything, right?  The problem also happens at the same time from
all machines (ones that work normally).  This machine runs Bind 8, and has
done so since it was put into service.  There are no special options in the
config file for bind. Do you have any recommendations for options that might
improve DNS performance for a mail server?
