My recommendation is to set your scanner up on a different box and use a
generic smtp auth (user = domainid  pw = something) per domain

This gives you the ability to run 2 instances of qmail - 1) to spool, 2)
qmail-scanner.  (speed)

Scan in and outbound mail (Yes viruses do come from the inside to)
