I noticed when a large message comes in, spamassassin fails to return a result. I get the ??/?? stuff in the header. After some research, I found that spamassassin has a limit to the size of the message it will scan ( 250k in this case, by default ). While I could up that limit, I was wondering if anybody has modified qmail-scanner to strip the attachments off an email before passing it to spamassassin.
Further, if no one has done this, are there any reasons why this shouldn't be done?
The only way I've found is to specify the max message size when calling spamc with the -s flag.
