I should be appologising here, because I didn't put across my point properly. I'm not 'complaining' or 'challenging the design decisions' made while configuring qmail-scanner. I don't want ./configure to blindly accept the list of scanners that I provide to the '--scanners' option. I would like (in fact, I assumed that) ./configure searches for 'available' and 'operational' scanners and include them in the 'scanners_installed' array. In a similar manner, it should include the subroutines for scanners provided as options to '--scanners'. The above mentioned method would allow someone to have qmail-scanner ready, prior to the installation of any of the required scanners. The best example that I can give for such a setup would be, creating packages for qmail-scanner. Once the required scanners are completely operational, then the user could simply include the scanners Don't you think? If no, then please enlighten me. Srinidhi. PS: I thought that there were no Debian packages for qmail-scanner. I googled for it and found one. Trying to install it and figure out how does the package manage to keep up with the scanners available in the system. -- ASCII ribbon campaign ( ) B S Srinidhi - against HTML email X http://srinidhi.deeproot.co.in & vCards / \ DeepRoot Linux ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
