Probably not.

Netscape (or Mozilla if you wish) Email *ought* to present the X-Face
header.  It can presume that it's running in graphical mode, so why
not??  The curious thing is that Jamie Zawinski didn't put it in even
though "his" Lucid Emacs (now X-Emacs) had them.

Yes, wider support for X-Face would be better.
