Sorry about the inaccuracies. I meant RedHat 5.2
Linux of course.
I took your advice and it's compiling now. And yes,
I was running the command as root.
It think the problem was one of file ownerships.
When I unzipped qmail from the Windoze machine into the qmail directory on the
Linux box all the files were created as being owned by the Windoze machine. When
I unzipped them with tar they show up as being owned by root/bin.
Thanks for your help. The problem took fewer
than 30 minutes to resolve!
