We're about to start implementing a new web-based e-mail services for some
of our clients. Our proposed set up is

    Corporate mail server
      ^
      |
Mail Hub (Qmail)
      |
      V
    IMAP server <----> Web server

The IMAP server runs Cyrus and a MTA (I'm not sure if Cyrus likes qmail
without playing with patches). The web server runs Apache with PHP mods
installed and an interface called TWIG.

The main reason we chose this is because Cyrus stores the e-mail in a
database, making managing users and the mailboxes very simple and powerful.
