[qmailadmin] Security in Qmailadmin

I'm working on qmailadmin
I am really very happy with it
But i want to provide it with double level of security
We are having domain password of postmaster but i want to give apache level security
Like .htaccess file
I've created one in /usr/local/share/qmailadmin/html but it wont work
Please help me
