That depends on how long you mean by "stay there". If you mean /FOREVER/, then there *might* be something abnormal.
If you mean for as long as it takes to deliver or to bounce, then it's fairly normal.
You can see why msgs are not being delivered "instantly" by examining your logs.
This question is probably better asked on the qmail list, where you will be advised to check the archives before asking a question that seems to be asked a few hundred times a year.
