It will help if you've installed using LifeWithQmail procedure. http://www.lifewithqmail.org/lwq.html
You'll understand the workings more clearly than if you installed from some package. And if you're using a Plesk version of qmail, you'll be advised to talk to plesk (their version is that much different). Don't know what I mean by Plesk? Good.
