Hello
I have installed qmail admin following the instructions given, but I
cannot access the site.
Can I use the IP number instead of the server name in order to access
qmailadmin?
Do I need to update httpd.conf on apache to be able to see qmailadmin
(I assume the answer is not)?
This is really an apache question, not a qmailadmin question. It
depends on how your Apache is configured and how you installed
qmailadmin. You haven't given us enough information to give you an answer.
Assuming you have a default server setup in your apache configuration,
and that server is what answers when you browse to your server name
(rather than being seperately configured as a NameVirtualHost or
something), and you've got a ScriptAlias cgi-bin directory set up in the
default server configuration, and qmailadmin is installed in the
ScriptAlias cgi-bin directory, then you should be able to browse to
qmailadmin using http://servername/cgi-bin/qmailadmin
If any of those things are not true then you might have to update
httpd.conf.
Hope this helps.
