A couple people have emailed me asking me about the Outlook generation
script. I have made it available on my web site
(http://jakev.com/qmail/) for you to use/download. The script is
available to be run on my server (don't hammer me too much!), and I also
have a .tar.gz copy on there for you to download and install on your own
server.
So everyone knows, this is a PHP script that will generate a file called
email.reg that is sent to the users. When they click on the file and
select YES to import into the registry, it will automatically set up
their email account and SMTP auth for them. It's easier for me to use
this method for remote users to help them set up their email accounts,
rather than spend 30+ minutes on the phone telling them what to click
on, and what to type into Outlook to set up their email accounts. And
before you ask, yes, this is what 90% of my user base is like....
