Hi Ruri

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it didn't help.
qmail and sendmail have not been installed with rpm and thus can't be rmoved with it.

Is there a way to remove manually compiled software?

Thanks!
Alex

If you dont mind, i want to try answer you problem :)

You can try to use this syntax :
#rpm -e --nodeps sendmail
#rpm -e --nodeps qmail
#rpm -e --nodeps another-file-dependencies.

May be still any dependencies from qmail or sendmail.

Then you rebuild and install again your qmail-toaster.
*) #rpm -e --nodeps qmail-toaster
    #rpmbuild --rebuild --with your-distro qmail-toaster-1.03-1.2.10.src.rpm
    #rpm -Uvh /patch/RPMS/i386/qmail-toaster-x.x.x.i386.rpm
(dont install qmail-toaster and qmail-pop3d-toaster if you not installing vpopmail-toaster before).

May be can help you.

    Hi

I have a problem installing qmail-toaster-1.03-1.2.10.i386 on Fedora
    Core 2.

    I use rpm -Uhv qmail-toaster*.rpm

    And get

    error: Failed dependencies:
             sendmail conflicts with qmail-toaster-1.03-1.2.10.i386
             qmail conflicts with qmail-toaster-1.03-1.2.10.i386

neither sendmail and qmail seem to be installed by rpm because using
"rpm -q sendmail" or "rpm -q qmail" give "is not installed"

How can I get around this problem?

    Thanks for your help!
    Alex
