I talked with my Sr guy here, and he feels that rsyn should work on that
with no issue...  We rsync linux distros locally with gazillions of files,
and have rsynced over 10GB of data over a 2 day period....  It does/will
take a while, but once the initial rsync is done it should be much easier to
keep it caught up.  Tape is going to be slower than rsync...  For rsync, are
you using the newer version via ssh?  That should work smoother/faster...

LVM snapshots may be the way to go though...  Getting enough quite time to
get a full backup sounds like it is going ot be difficult for you...

Hello Davide,

The Maildir structure is using the adaptive directory structure, I have
several "0", "1" and so on directories on the Maildir.

I'll take a look at LVM snapshots, thank you for this tip.
