Dear List,
My tcp.smtp file is as follows,
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private",RBLSMTPD="",NOP0FCHECK="1"
:allow,BADMIMETYPE="",BADLOADERTYPE="M",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="150",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="10",DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private",NOP0FCHECK="1",SENDER_NOCHECK="1"
In the second line "SENDER_NOCHECK="1" is there. Will this cause any
security problem (Spoofed mails and junk) ?
SENDER_NOCHECK just tells chkuser to not check for "illegal" characters
in the from username/address. This is mainly for Barracuda spam
appliances which will rewrite the sender and add characters such as / to
the address and cause chkuser to reject them.
That is all it checks for that I can think of (someone correct me if I'm
wrong).
